Colorless

Her whole world was colorless. Routine and boring gray. Ever since she decided to join the marines she had been sentenced to a life of monotony and sameness all year. Wake up, get dress, eat, train, fight, eat, fight, eat, and go back to sleep only to do it all again the next day. No color or emotion necessary or wanted.
She was relatively good at keeping the facade up and would only slip when absolutely necessary, like when being a woman swordsman came into play. Even than she could stay in control. That was until he showed up.
At first, he was a nice enough man to allow her guarded friendliness to stay intact, even going as far as to let him in a little bit. He lied. A pirate wanted by a colorless ruling. It didn't phase her when it first happened but a dark, blood red arose in her eyes, followed by a mint green when she saw how he handled a sword. Even a pink tinge of embarrassment flushed her cheeks, but one color that he brought was forever burned in her brain. Cerulean green; like his eyes.
